Daddy got a camper...Sleep at last!

I slept for ten straight hours last night! WOO HOO!!!! As I see it, I need to get nights like this as much as possible because when the little man arrives, I know i'll be woo-hooing over 4 solid hours of sleep.

The secret: Dave is truly amazing.

Let me back up real quick. We went camping this weekend in our new pop-up camper. On Friday, I got a text from Dave with a picture of the 4-Runner in front of our house with a camper attached to the back. The message read, "Daddy got a camper!"

Dave found an amazing deal on Craig's list for a pop-up. He just sold a pretty expensive house so with some of the money he decided to reward us. He drove up to North Peoria and got a nearly-new 2003 pop-up from a Tennessee couple. With all of Dave's new things, he wanted to try it out right away. Since it was going to be 115 this past weekend, he asked if I wanted to go up north. I did not hesitate. The heat is brutal on a pregnant girl!

We ended up camping in Flagststaff where it was in the low 80's - that's 80 degrees; 30+ degrees cooler than where we live. At night, I was even shivering because it got down into the 60's. So nice. I didn't sleep that well because of my eyes and nose, but it was nice to sleep in cooler, (a little) moister weather.

On our way home, we decided to stop in Sedona and go swimming. We stumbled upon an amazing swimming hole spot. The water was freezing but since it was 100 degrees in Sedona, it felt so good. Rocco didn't mind it either. We spent a little time there then headed back to the oven.

When we got home, we unpacked and got something to eat and then I was absolutely exhausted. I don't think I made it past 7:30pm. Dave went to Target and by the time he got home, I was passed out on the couch. I don't quite remember how I got to bed, but all I know is that I didn't wake up until 6am. That means I got at least 10 hours of solid sleep.

When Dave went to Target last night he got stuff for the humidifier and set it all up while I was in my zombie state. My eyes felt so much better this morning and I wasn't stuffy at all. My nose wasn't even that bloody. I love Dave so much and am so extremely blessed to have someone who cares for and about me as much as he does. What did I do to deserve him?

Let's just hope I sleep tonight!
