I'm totally new to this blog thing, but think it's a great way to preserve what I feel when I feel. Many of my friends started blogs when they were pregnant for their baby when they get older - what an ingenious idea! So here is my journey of pregnancy all for you little baby Thompson.
I have been super sick all week - I haven't even been to work because I've been so sick with pneumonia. On my 2nd trip to the doctor yesterday, I was still feeling awful so my wonderful doctor prescribed stronger meds. I got in the car and on the way home started to think...(i do this often, you'll learn). Your dad and I decided to have a baby earlier this month but I didn't knwo if I was pregnant yet. And in that car ride I really didnt' think I was, but God was telling me I was because I couldn't take those medicines the doctor prescribed. Before taking the meds, I came home, went upstairs and took the test.
I did the test.
I went into the bedroom and started to do other things - I totally forgot about the test. When I went back into the bathroom, I picked up the 'stick' and there it said, "pregnant"...not like the other two tests I have taken that said "not pregnant." It actually said "pregnant!" The "NOT" wasn't anywhere to be found.
I ran downstairs and called Dave - I always said I wouldn't do it over the phone but I was in total disbelief and needed to tell him. He was having lunch with Dusty when I called. I told him and his response was, "Are you ready for this?" His tone definitely portrayed that of someone not ready. "Oh, I'm ready!"
To be sure, I scheduled a third doctor's appointment (this week) to confirm the pregnancy. I went in at 8:45am and came out at 10am with a big smile on my face. My doctor came in and said, "Congratulations! Mrs. Thompson. You are pregnant."
I'm really excited, nervous, anxious, and can't wait to learn about the process to learn about YOU!
And the journey begins...
